What is a Meet and Greet?
An initial Meet and Greet provides an opportunity for us to meet you and your pet and to discuss your pets' individual requirements so we can tailor our services to best meet your needs.
What days do you offer dog walking?
Dog walking is available Monday to Friday. Weekend walks may be available on request and are subject to a weekend surcharge.
Do you offer weekend services?
Yes — weekend pet‑sitting visits are always available and include a $10 surcharge. Weekend dog walks are offered selectively based on availability and also include a $10 surcharge per booking.
What if my regular walk falls on a public holiday?
I’ll notify you in advance. You can choose to skip the walk (no charge) or proceed with the public holiday surcharge of 50%.
How do cancellations work?
Dog walking: 24 hours’ notice
Pet sitting: 48 hours’ notice
Late cancellations incur the full fee, as your time slot is reserved exclusively for your pet.
What happens in bad weather?
Walks continue in most conditions. In extreme weather, I may reschedule the walk to another day or apply a credit to your account. Your pet’s wellbeing always comes first.
How do you handle keys and home access?
Keys can be collected in person or stored in a secure lockbox. All keys are kept securely and labelled without identifying information. If access isn’t available at the scheduled time, the full fee applies.
How do payments work?
Invoices are issued weekly or per booking and are due within 7 days. Surcharges (weekends, public holidays, additional pets) are applied automatically.
What areas do you service?
Areas we services are the following: Remuera, Parnell, Epsom, Greenlane, Ellerslie, Orakei, Meadowbank, Mission Bay and Kohimarama.
Are you insured?
Yes — I maintain appropriate insurance to ensure peace of mind for both you and your pet.
What if my plans change while I’m away?
Bookings can be adjusted provided enough notice has been provided. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions page for further details regarding full or partial cancelation policy.
Can I trust you in my home?
A full and current criminal convictions record from the Ministry of Justice is available upon request.
How will I know how my cat is doing while I'm away?
Daily photo updates are available as an add on service upon request, giving you peace of mind that they are happy while your away.
Why should I book an in-home Cat Sitting Service instead of a boarding facility or cattery?
For many cats they feel safest in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Boarding facilities, as well as the trauma of travel to and from them, can be quite stressful for them.
Why should I book a 1:1 or 2:1 Dog Walking Service?
Many dogs benefit from the 1:1 or 2:1 service, as it allows for a more personalised walk based on their needs and personality. (As well as extra love and attention just for them)
What is the difference between a Standard rate dog walk, and a Casual Rate?
Standard rates apply to regular, ongoing, weekly bookings of 2 or more dog walks. The casual rate reflects the one-off nature of a casual booking, subject to availability.
